Female Teacher of PE (Maternity Cover)

Main Scale/UPR

We are seeking to appoint an inspiring and energetic Female Teacher of Physical Education to join us as maternity cover either at Easter 2024 or September 2024 until 31 August 2025. Our PE department prides itself on delivering a high quality and diverse curriculum.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding teaching practitioner or aspire to be. Who has the ability to enthuse our pupils with a passion for the subject and encourage them to become independent learners. A willingness to participate in departmental extra-curricular activities is also essential.

We are looking for candidates who will raise attainment in the department, assisting our pupils to achieve excellence.

The position would suit an experienced teacher or an ECT.

The college is situated in a semi-rural location approximately 13 miles south of Winchester, within easy reach of Portsmouth and Southampton.

Hours: 37 hours - 8am to 4pm (Mon – Thurs) and 8am to 3.30pm (Fri) – 30

Term Time only (39 + 1 week)
Salary: HCC Grade D FTE £25,628 - £28,326 Actual £22,483.68 - £24,850.56

Swanmore College is a popular, successful, and highly regarded Secondary school set in a rural location.

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Cover Supervisor to start as soon as possible, to undertake the supervision of classes in the absence of teachers, provide support for teaching staff and after college clubs and covering as Learning Mentor/Teaching Assistant when required.

This person will contribute to the positive ethos of the College and must demonstrate the following attributes: -
- An ability to work on their own initiative
- Educated to GCSE level with proficiency in Maths and English
- Experience of working in a school environment
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Experience in a teaching/learning/child support working environment
- Good communication skills and an ability to clarify and explain instructions clearly
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
