Description

Swanmore College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic person to work as part of a dedicated, friendly College team.

You will be the first point of contact for all visitors to the College in person and by telephone, creating a friendly and positive image of the College.  In addition, you will be able to cope with many and varied admin tasks. You will also be able to work well under pressure and be able to use your own initiative.

Experience is not essential but applicants must project a friendly, warm and welcoming approach.

This role will suit anybody who wants to develop their career within SEND to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and/or disabilities/learning difficulties. There will be an enhanced requirement to work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils, and to provide advisory support to teaching staff to support pupils’ learning.

A comprehensive induction programme is in place and training is always on going.

We would be very happy to accept applications from individuals who are considering entering a career in teaching in September 2021, or beyond.  A Learning Mentor post is a rewarding profession that gives great insight to school life for prospective teachers.  As the lead school for The Rural Schools Alliance Teaching School, we are perfectly placed to provide development opportunities to ensure a successful Teacher Training application.
