We regularly have vacancies within our Support Staff team for the following positions:
Teaching Assistant
HCC Grade B FTE £18,887 – £19,208, generally 32.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 8.20am to 3.20pm with 30 minutes lunch break. Actual salary £14,191.08 – £14,432.40 (term time only – 39 weeks)
Join our dynamic Learning Support Team and provide support for pupils in and out of the classroom with a variety of Special Educational Needs. Adaptability is essential as is the ability to relate well to both pupils and teachers. Knowledge and experience of raising literacy levels and developing resources would be an advantage however, enthusiasm and energy are the priority.
Learning Mentor
HCC Grade C FTE £19,265 – £20,290, generally 34.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 8.15am to 3.15pm (3 days) & 8.15am to 4.15pm (2 days) with 30 minutes lunch break. Actual salary £15,365.04 – £16,182.48 (term time only – 39 weeks)
An exciting opportunity to join our innovative and dynamic Learning Support department. This role would suit anybody who wants to develop their career within SEND to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and/or disabilities/learning difficulties. There will be an enhanced requirement to work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils, and to provide advisory support to teaching staff to support pupils’ learning.
Cover Supervisor
HCC Grade C FTE £19,265 – £20,290, generally 37 hours per week Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm, Friday 8am to 3.30pm with 30 minutes lunch break. Actual salary £16,901.40 – £17,800.56 (term time only – 40 weeks)
Are you considering a career change? Thinking of working with young people? Perhaps contemplating teaching as a possible career in the future, then this may be the role for you. A Cover Supervisor will undertake the supervision of classes in the absence of teachers and provide support for teaching staff and after college clubs.
You must be educated to GCSE level with proficiency in Maths and English, have good communication skills with an ability to clarify and explain instructions clearly and be adaptable and flexible. Experience of working in a school environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
