All Pupils

End of Term

On the last day of term, Friday 15 December 2023, Swanmore College will close early at 12.40 pm. Our transport operators have been informed and will be on site to collect pupils.

New Contact Details

We have created a new set of email addresses to enable you to make direct contact with a person or department in the college, rather than requiring you to go through the generic ‘enquiries’ email address. These emails are now live and further details can be found on the website: Contact - Swanmore College (swanmore-school.co.uk)

Enrichment Options – Spring Term

You should have received an email this week asking you to select your child’s Enrichment choices for the Spring Term. The deadline for making selections is Monday 4 December 2023 and this must be done via the ‘School Buddy’ system or app: https://www.schoolsbuddy.com/login. Please note that issues with the Year 11 options have now been rectified. If you have any queries about the Enrichment programme, please email: enrichment-help@swanmore-sec.hants.sch.uk

Additional Support for Christmas

Additional support is available from various sources if you and your family are in urgent or immediate need this Christmas:

  1. Kings Church Hamper - If you would like one of the delicious meat and food hampers from Kings’ church, please email Louise at: kcbw.hampers@gmail.com

  2. Food Bank referral - If you require a referral to the Food Bank, please let us know as soon as possible.  We would need details of the number of adults and children in your household, any pets or allergies and the cooking facilities you have if they do not include an oven.  They will also ask for access to your phone number, address and email address.  You must let us know if this you agree to allow us to pass these on. Please email us: PP-help@swanmore-sec.hants.sch.uk

  3. Community Grant – Hampshire County Council has given us some money to help our most needy families.  If you need funding for any of the following, please follow the link to Google forms and fill it in. Whilst we cannot promise to pay for everything you ask for, we should certainly be able to give you money towards it.

  • Energy and water:  a set amount towards energy and water bills

  • Food: a set amount is available

  • Essentials linked to energy and water (including sanitary products, warm clothing, soap, blankets, boiler service/repair, purchase of equipment including fridges, freezers, ovens, etc.), in recognition that a range of costs may arise which directly affect a household’s ability to afford or access energy, food and water.

  • Wider essentials to support with wider essential needs not linked to energy and water. These may include, but are not limited to, support with other bills including broadband or phone bills, clothing, and essential transport-related costs such as repairing a car, buying a bicycle or paying for fuel.

For anything other than food, energy and water, please complete this form by Friday 1 December: https://forms.gle/4wYBKUCqb1WGqcZy6.  Further information about the help that is available can also be found on the College website: https://swanmore-school.co.uk/support-for-families/

Year 7

It has come to our attention that some pupils are creating WhatsApp groups for their lessons. We would like to remind you that children need to be 16 years old to use this social messaging platform, further information about online safety can be found here: Social media | NSPCC

Not only are pupils creating these WhatsApp groups, but they are also using teachers’ names within their titles. If this occurs, sanctions will be put in place. Please can you support us at home by sharing this message. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Miss Rudd – Head of Year 7.
