Year 9 Indoor Athletics
Last week we took a team of Year 9 students to Perins School, to participate in a Sports hall Athletics event. Despite the team being a bit thin on the ground, our students participated well and covered a lot of events between them. Well done to all involved.
Congratulations to Arabella and Ellis!
We are delighted to announce that Arabella and Ellis have been selected for the Junior England High Performance Academy.
Arabella will be joining the Girls' Under-15s squad, while Ellis has the opportunity to join either the Boys' Under-12s or Under-15s squads, depending on his progress.
This is a fantastic achievement, and we are incredibly proud of both Arabella and Ellis. Their dedication and hard work are truly inspiring.
We wish them the very best in their future sporting endeavours.
Double Medal Victory for Jess
We are thrilled to announce that Jess recently achieved outstanding success in synchro ice skating. At the Trophy d'Ecosse in Scotland, she won a gold medal with Solent Splash and a silver medal with Solent Droplets.
This is a fantastic accomplishment, and we are incredibly proud of Jess's achievement.
We encourage all students to share their sporting achievements with us. Please send your success stories and photos to the PE Department so we can celebrate your accomplishments.
Year 7 Football Triumphs at Wyvern
Our Year 7 footballers enjoyed a successful 6-a-side tournament at Wyvern School yesterday. Despite challenging weather conditions, our three teams competed fiercely against their Wyvern counterparts. With a series of victories and draws, and only one loss, Swanmore emerged victorious overall. Congratulations to all the boys who participated – your effort and sportsmanship were outstanding!
KS4 Volleyball and Handball Success at Winchester College
Our Key Stage 4 pupils recently participated in exciting Volleyball and Handball events at Winchester College's impressive new Sports Hall. These events provided valuable opportunities for our pupils to compete against other schools and develop their skills. Well done to all who participated.
Sports Leaders Shine at Primary School Basketball Event
On Tuesday, several of our Year 10 Sports Leaders assisted in the running of a successful Primary School Basketball event. Seven schools from the local area participated, and our Sports Leaders played a vital role in ensuring the smooth and enjoyable running of the event. Well done to all who participated and assisted.
