Post-16 Football Opportunities for Year 11 Pupils

Year 11 pupils interested in combining further education with football are encouraged to explore the Post-16 programme at Sparsholt College. An open day during the February half-term holiday will provide pupils with the chance to experience the programme firsthand.

AFC Bournemouth Female Football Education Programme

Year 10 and 11 girls with a passion for football can learn more about the AFC Bournemouth Female Football Education Programme at Brockenhurst College. This programme offers high-quality coaching alongside a range of A-Level and BTEC courses.

Sportshall Athletics at Mountbatten School

Our Year 8 students showcased their athletic talents at a Sportshall Athletics event held at Mountbatten School last week. They competed well against strong competition. Well done to all who participated.

Year 11 Boys Football Triumph

Our Year 11 Boys Football team progressed in the District Cup with a convincing 6-1 victory over John Hanson School last Tuesday. An exceptional team performance saw goals from Dan, Eddie, Logan, Jamie (2), and an own goal. There was a fantastic penalty save by goalkeeper Ben too.

Netball at Mountbatten School

Our U12 and U13 Girls Netball teams travelled to Mountbatten School for a league fixture last Wednesday. Despite both teams losing, they delivered strong performances, particularly the U13s, who played their best game yet against Mountbatten. Well done to all the girls involved.

District Cup Exits

Unfortunately, last week saw our Year 8 Boys Football team and our Year 10/11 Girls Football team exit the District Cup Competition after losses to Thornden and Kings respectively.

Handball Competition at Toynbee School

Our Year 8 team competed in the England Schools Handball Competition (Dorset & Hampshire section) at Toynbee School last week. Despite their best efforts, the team lost both matches against Petersfield School and Toynbee School. This was a valuable experience for the team; well done to those who participated.

U14/U15 Girls Netball at Mountbatten School

Our U14/U15 Girls Netball teams played against Mountbatten School last week. While both teams were unfortunately defeated, the girls put in strong performances and made the games competitive. Well done to all players.
