Sports Day - Wednesday 12 July 2023

Pupils have been informed of the plan for Sports Day tomorrow (although there is one major change highlighted in bold). We would appreciate your support in reminding them of our expectation as follow:

·          Pupils who are taking part must arrive at college wearing their Swanmore College PE kit. Please encourage competitors to wear a T-shirt in their house colour:
Attenborough = Yellow
Hawking = Red
MacArthur = Blue
Whittle = Green

·          Anyone who is not competing must wear their normal College uniform and follow their usual timetable.

·          All pupils must go to tutor in the morning to register and remain with their tutor until 8:40 am.

·          At the start of each lesson (Periods 1, 2, 3 and 4) competitors must go straight to their lesson to register with their teacher and then go to their activity area  with their bags. They will remain at the event for the whole lesson.

·          Year Groups are competing as follows: P1 = Year 8, P2 = Year 10, P3 = Year 9 & P4 = Year 7

·          After lunch, all pupils should go to their tutor base and register with their tutor.  This is important for the afternoon registers to be correct.

·          At 13:10 pupils will leave their bags in their tutor room and go to the bottom field with a chair to watch the Tug-of-War and Relay events.

Tutor groups in science labs are allowed to visit the Main Hall and take a chair from there, ensuring they return the chairs at the end of the day.

·          Tutors and their tutees will be sitting under the trees in their designated House area.

·          Competitors must sit outside of the track by the Long Jump pit.

·          Year 11 tutors will be supervising the competitors.

·          The whole college will remain on the bottom field to support and cheer on competitors during P5 & P6.

·          Everyone should bring a drink bottle with plenty of water, sunscreen and a hat.

Many thanks and may the best house win!!!

KS3 Fitness Suite Club

We regret that fitness suite club for Years 7, 8 & 9 on Wednesday 12 July 2023 has been cancelled.

Water Bottles

Please ensure your child brings a refillable water bottle to college with them each day. We do not currently have any disposable cups left, so pupils will need to bring their own bottle or purchase one on site and ensure they keep this and refill it as needed.

SCOPAY Planned Maintenance

SCOPAY users will not be able to make payments between 08:00 and 14:00 on Saturday 15 July 2023. Anyone attempting to make a payment during this time will see a holding message, advising that the site is down for maintenance.

Vaccinations

Catch-up vaccinations will be taking place in college on Friday 14 July. If you child is due to have a vaccine, you will have been sent the consent form last week. The deadline for completing the online consent form is tomorrow, Wednesday 12 July 2023 at 10.00 am.
