Head of Drama

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, inspiring and innovative Head of Drama to lead this extremely important curriculum and extra-curricular area from September 2024.

Swanmore is very proud to be in the position to offer an expanded and enhanced creative curriculum provision to both pupils and teaching professionals. Rather than narrowing the access to the Creative Arts for our pupils, we are keen to showcase the Arts as the cornerstone of our forward thinking, high quality curriculum provision. Our Performing Arts building provides us with first class facilities for teaching, learning and performing.

We are fully committed to championing professional development and all teaching staff are allocated a specific slot for Continuous Professional Development (CPD) reducing a teaching load by one period a week.

Teacher of MFL (French & Spanish)

Full Time

We are seeking to appoint an inspiring, enthusiastic and ambitious MFL teacher of French and Spanish to join our forward thinking and supportive Modern Foreign Languages Department from September 2024.

The successful candidate will be required to teach KS4 French and a minimum of KS3 Spanish and will be an outstanding classroom practitioner, with the ability to enthuse our pupils with a passion for languages and to encourage them to become independent learners. A willingness to participate in departmental extra-curricular activities is also essential.

We are looking for candidates who will raise attainment in the department to ensure that all pupils achieve their targets.

The position would suit an experienced teacher or an ECT.

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, inspiring and innovative Head of Music to lead this extremely important curriculum and extra-curricular area from September 2024.

Swanmore is very proud to be in the position to offer an expanded and enhanced creative curriculum provision to both pupils and teaching professionals. Rather than narrowing the access to the Creative Arts for our pupils, we are keen to showcase the Arts as the cornerstone of our forward thinking, high quality curriculum provision. We have 2 well-equipped classrooms using MAC computers and offer an extensive extra-curricular programme which is well attended by pupils.

We currently follow the Eduqas GCSE Music course and also provide the Eduqas Level 1/2 Vocational Award in Performing Arts.

Site Manager

37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, proactive and well-motivated Site Manager to join our hard working site team.

The successful candidate will be ready to take on any task that can arise in a busy secondary school. This role will take responsibility for the supervision and provision of a high quality maintenance, security and cleanliness regime of the school buildings and grounds, adhering to sound H&S methods, along with taking immense pride in the school site. This is a key role that would suit someone with excellent DIY skills.

The possession of a clean driving licence is desirable.
