Our Certificate Evening is taking place this Thursday, 21 November 2024. Following the RSVP's we are currently at capacity with the number for parents/carers that have responded and we are limited to the number of people we can safely seat in our Main Hall. We would ask that if you have not informed us you are attending, please do not just turn up as we will not be able to accommodate you. All certificates and coursework which is not collected at the event on Thursday will be available for collection from the College visitor reception from Monday 25 November at an agreed date/time. The Word of the Week is 'Illuminate'. verb make (something) visible or bright by shining light on it; light up - "a flash of lightning illuminated the house" help to clarify or explain - "placing the events of the 1930s in a broader historical context helps to illuminate their significance" Pupils will be encouraged to use this word in their lessons and around the school site throughout the week. Please do encourage them to use it at home too! #wordoftheweek #swanmorecollege #literacy

This week has been National Anti-Bullying Week on the theme of "Choose Respect". Our Anti-Bullying Committee has planned and delivered assemblies to all Year Groups as part of Anti-Bullying Week. Within the assemblies, the committee also launched a whole school competition to design a piece of work on the theme "Choose Respect". Thank you to everyone who wore odd socks to school on Tuesday, participating in Anti-Bullying Odd Socks Day. #SwanmoreCollege #ChooseRespect #OddSocksDay
