Swanmore Sports roundup of the week commencing 27 January 2025.

A busy week of sporting activity saw our pupils competing in netball and athletics, with some excellent individual and team performances.

Netball Fixture vs. Perins School

Our U14 and U16 Netball teams hosted Perins School for a league fixture on Monday. Both teams played with great resilience and determination, however, Perins proved to be a strong opposition and won the fixture overall. Well done to all the Swanmore girls who represented the College.

Year 7 Sportshall Athletics Success

Last week saw our second Year 7 Sportshall Athletics event of the academic year, with pupils from Mountbatten and Toynbee Schools joining us. Our pupils performed admirably, demonstrating great effort and skill. Our girls’ team achieved a commendable 3rd place, while our boys’ team took 1st place overall! Congratulations to all the Year 7 pupils who participated. Keep an eye out for more athletics opportunities in the Summer Term.

Sports Leaders Shine at Athletics Event

A special thank you to our Year 10 Sports Leaders, whose invaluable assistance ensured the smooth running of the Year 7 Sportshall Athletics event. They expertly recorded results, officiated at the throwing and jumping events, and helped organise the sprint races. We couldn't have done it without their fantastic support. More leadership opportunities will be available this term.
