Transport Eligibility & Application
If you believe your child is eligible for help with transport and you have not yet applied, please read the attached letter from Hampshire School Transport:
https://www.hants.gov.uk/educationandlearning/schooltransport/parent-carer The deadline for new applications is 31 July 2023. Any applications after this date will be considered, however, places may not be available.
Food
Swanmore College will never knowingly allow a pupil to go without food. Should a pupil's account be overdrawn at any point, they will be restricted to purchasing hot savoury food only. If their balance is overdrawn by £10.00 or more, they will be restricted to purchasing a main meal at lunch time in the Swan Café only.
The Scopay system offers email alerts and notifications for low balances and parents/carers can set the amount at which alerts are triggered. In addition, you may set a limit that your child is able to spend each day or restrict the account if the purchase would put the account overdrawn.
Please top up your child's account via www.scopay.com Alternatively, payment can be made in cash via the machines in the Swan Café or by cheque made payable to 'Hampshire County Council' with your child's name, tutor and 'Swan Café' on the reverse. These should be handed to the Finance Office in S Block.
If you would like to implement any of these options, you would like a link code to set up a Scopay account, or have any questions, please email finance@swanmore-sec.hants.sch.uk.
Year 11
One more sleep to Prom!
Remember - please do not unsubscribe from Scopay until after Certificate Evening in November. We send you important messages until that time which are specific to your child. These will be sent to you directly as a separate cohort so you should not receive Swan-Bites etc after this term.
SETA will be running 3 Engineering Apprenticeship Recruitment Clinics available to young people from Year 11 and above, and their parents, to drop into SETA to discuss the current apprenticeship vacancies, what the roles involve and to get guidance on writing a great application. Full details are attached. No need to book - just turn up!
