Polymer

The technical term to describe materials oftern refered to as plastics.

Lap Joint

A type of wood joint where a small shelf or lap is cut out to strengthen the corner of a box/drawer.

Finger Joint

A type of wood joint where small interlocking fingers are cut out to make a strong wood joint.

Dowel Joint

A type of wood joint where a wooden peg is put through the wood joint to reinforce it.

Jig

A device/tool that is used to make a process repeatable and accurate, whilst also speeding up the process.

Vacuum Forming

A method of shaping polymers using a vacuum to pull plastic over a mould.
