Bus Passes

When your child is issued a bus pass for travel to and from Swanmore College, it is essential for them to carry it with them each day please. Hampshire Transport are carrying out spot checks and so are staff from the College. Pupils are likely to be refused travel if they do not have their pass with them. We have been tasked with ensuring that only pupils with a bus pass are using this valuable service and that they are travelling on the correct bus. Many thanks for your support.

Enrichment – Spring Term 2025

Pupils have been given a printed timetable with their new Spring Term Enrichment session listed on it today. We ask that all students attend their allocated Enrichment tomorrow. Following this first session, if pupils would like to ask to swap activity, they can put in a request at pupil reception to do so. Swaps can then be made if there is space in the newly requested activity, or if another pupil has requested the opposite change. As well as allocating everyone one of their original five choices, we do everything we can to make changes when requested. Battlefields 2025 Trip Meeting

We would like to remind you that there is a parent information meeting for the Battlefields Trip taking place on Thursday 9 January 2025 at 1800 in the main hall of Swanmore College. This evening will provide you with additional details about the trip, address any questions or concerns you may have, and offer an opportunity to meet with the teachers organising the trip. If you have not already done so, please send copies of passports and GHIC cards to: Battlefields-Trip@swanmore-sec.hants.sch.uk  

Old Glasses/Spectacles

If you have any old glasses/spectacles which you no longer wear, please would you consider donating them to us. We are collecting for a charity who will be collecting them from us on Friday 10 January 2025. They will then be sent to the Third World and given to people who might not otherwise have access to this invaluable item. Please bring them to Visitor Reception or give them to your child and ask them to hand them in to Pupil Reception. Thank you.

Year 9

It is now time for your child to choose their options to study in Year 10 and Year 11. All information about options is documented online at https://www.swanmore-school.co.uk/pupils/year-9-options. We are holding an Options Evening on Monday 20 January 2025 from 5.00pm - 7.00pm. Option choices must be made online using the SIMs Parent App or SIMs Parent Website. The options selection process will open on Monday 20 January 2025. All option choices must be made by Friday 21 March 2025, in order that we can plan resources and timetables for September.
