Enrichment Options – Summer 2025

Please could we remind all pupils in Year 7 – 10 to sign-up for their Summer Term Enrichment choices. Parents or pupils can sign in and make their selection using their Schools Buddy account - each pupil must choose 5 activities that they would be happy to do. They will then be allocated one of these 5 choices for Enrichment in the Summer Term.  Details of all the different activities available for next term can be found here: Swanmore School - Enrichment.  The closing date for signing up is Monday, 24 March 2025.

Odd Socks Day – Friday 21 March 2025

This week is Down Syndrome Awareness week and on Friday, 21 March 2025, the SEN team are inviting everyone to Rock their Socks for Down Syndrome Awareness Day. This event is always held on the 21st day of March, because Down Syndrome affects the 21st chromosome! We hope many pupils and staff will show their support by wearing odd socks to school. 

Swanmore Support Group – Winchester Youth Counselling

We would like to remind you about a new parent/carer support group being run by Winchester Youth Counselling, which meets in Swanmore on the last Wednesday of each month:

  • Free to attend
  • Who? Open to all parents/carers of 11-25yr olds (any location/school)
  • Where? Swanmore Methodist Church
  • When? Every last Wednesday of each month at 10am-11am
  • Facilitated by one of WYC’s BACP registered counsellors
  • Refreshments provided

PETA Open Evening – 24 March 2025

PETA are hosting an apprenticeship open evening on Monday, 24 March 2025 at their Cosham training centre. This will be a great opportunity to:

  • Speak with their Learning and Development Coaches
  • Connect with current apprentices and hear about their experiences
  • Meet representatives from the companies PETA partners with and learn what they’re looking for in potential apprentices

Easter Holiday Revision Sessions – Bookings Close 20.03.25

A reminder that revision classes are running during the upcoming Easter break from 9am – 12pm on Monday 7 April, Tuesday 8 April, Wednesday 9 April and Thursday 10 April. An outline of the available classes can be accessed using the link below:

The cost is £30.00 per day for three x 1-hour sessions. You must book for the full 3 x sessions each day; pupils cannot come and go throughout the morning; they will sign in at 9am and sign out at 12 noon. Should your child not attend on the day in question, the contribution will be non-refundable.

Should your child wish to attend any or all these days, please select each of the required day/days and make payment online via www.scopay.com for example ‘Year 11 Revision – Mon 8 March’.  Please use the drop-down options to select one session for each time slot.09:00 – 10:00, 10:00 – 11:00 and 11:00 – 12:00 no later than Thursday 20 March 2025, to enable us to pre-organise the sessions.
