Enrichment Options Deadline – Thursday, 27 March 2025

Please could we remind all pupils in Year 7 – 10 to sign up for their Summer Term Enrichment choices. The closing date for doing this was last Monday, however, we still have many pupils who have not yet made a selection. Schools Buddy will therefore be held open until midnight today, Thursday, 27 March 2025. Parents/carers or pupils should sign in and make their selection using their Schools Buddy account – each pupil must choose 5 activities that they would be happy to do. Boulogne Trip Meeting – Monday, 31 March 2025

We would like to remind parents/carers of pupils who are booked on the Boulogne trip that there is a meeting in the main hall at Swanmore College on Monday, 31 March 2025, at 6 pm.

Lost property

Please ask your child(ren) to check lost property in Pupil Reception for any of their possessions or uniform that have gone missing this term. Any items that remain unclaimed at the end of term will be donated to charity.

Hidden in Stone – free exhibition of dinosaurs, fossils and more; 04 April – 01 June 2025, God’s House Tower, Southampton

From Dorset to Sussex, under the busy pavements and natural spaces of Britain’s South Coast, is a near-unbroken sequence of rocks that span 200 million years of Earth’s history. Hidden in Stone is an exhibition about shifting continents, changing climates, and evolutionary radiation.

The exhibition, led by the Gostling Evolution and Palaeobiology Lab, University of Southampton, explores Jurassic Seas, where Dinosaurs Roam, Chalk Seas, Tropical Hampshire and Frozen Britain, with several ‘stops’ along the way, using fossils, artwork and sculpture to show the rich heritage of fossils, literally beneath your feet as you wander across the South Coast, from Kimmeridge in Dorset to Hastings in Sussex.

Year 7, 8 & 9

Spring term academic reports for all KS3 pupils will be available from Monday, 31 March 2025. All reports are delivered electronically through the SIMS Parent App or SIMS website: https://www.sims-parent.co.uk. We no longer issue a paper copy of the report unless a parent has notified us in advance that they cannot access reports electronically. If you have not yet accessed the SIMs Parent App or need any further assistance, please contact Dr Sleat at reports-help@swanmore-sec.hants.sch.uk.
