Bronze DofE Expedition Kit

Any pupils currently undertaking the Bronze DofE award who would like to order expedition kit through Scopay must do so by Friday, 28 February 2025. Our range of products can be viewed on the following website: https://accesskit.co.uk/shop/product-bundles/. There is no obligation to purchase kit through us as much of the kit is also available to buy on the high street.

Hampshire County Youth Orchestra Open Day - 22 March 2025

Hampshire County Youth Orchestra is holding an Open Day on Saturday 22 March 2025 at Thornden School Concert Hall in Chandler’s Ford, the Orchestra’s rehearsal base. Players will have the opportunity to play alongside current members of one of our two main ensembles:

• String Orchestra = for string players grades 4 +
• County Youth Orchestra = for orchestral players grades 6 + (strings / woodwind / brass / percussion and harp)

We hope very much that players will think of auditioning this June and July to join HCYO for next academic year. The Open Day is not a part of the audition process, but rather a chance for players to get a taste of the Youth Orchestra ensembles and what it might be like to be part of them. Our wish, of course, is that all young musicians be fully aware of the wonderful opportunities open to them, both in HCYO and across the whole Hampshire spectrum.

Year 9

Please be reminded that your child’s Td/IPV and MenACWY Vaccination is NOW DUE. The link below will take you to the electronic form and information about the vaccine. Access to the form will close at the end of this week.

Also, a reminder about Prom Points, your child must:

• Have cumulative 500 ICC points
• Have 96% attendance
• Attend revision sessions
