Literacy Week and World Book Day 2025

Next week is literacy week at Swanmore College and pupils will have tasks to do in their lessons across the curriculum, around the theme of Literary Heroes and Villains. Pupils and staff are also invited to dress-up as a literary hero or villain for World Book Day on Thursday, 06 March 2025. Pupils who dress-up will be awarded ICC points and there will be prizes for the best costumes. Anyone not dressing up for World Book Day will need to wear full uniform as usual please.

Teenage Booster Vaccinations – Monday 03 March 2025

Reminder that the teenage booster vaccinations (Td/IPV and MenACWY) are taking place in college on Monday 03 March 2025 (please note the date on the reminder email from the nursing team was incorrect as it read Wednesday 05 March). These are for year 9 pupils and catch-ups for any year 10 and 11 pupils who have not previously had the vaccine, as per the communication sent on 04/02/25. Free Sanitary Products

We have a variety of free sanitary products available for pupils, who are welcome to come and get whatever they need during break times from:

•    Pupil Reception
•    The Pupil Centre
•    Cupboard opposite the Welfare Office

Please encourage your child(ren) to make full use of this free service.

Reminder that Year 9 parents’ evening meetings are taking place on Monday 03 March and Thursday 13 March 2025. Information on how to book appointments can be found on the website: Swanmore School - Parents' Evenings
