ClassCharts
Following on from July’s Spotlight on ClassCharts (see attached), please see further information below:
Background:
ClassCharts is an online platform designed to help you monitor and support your child's progress at school. As a parent/carer, you will be able to use ClassCharts to:
- Monitor Rewards and Behaviour: Keep track of your child's achievements and any behavioural issues.
- Check Attendance: Stay updated on your child's attendance record.
- Log Absences: Easily log any absences and provide reasons.
- See Homework: Access information on homework assignments and deadlines.
- See Homework Detentions: Be informed about any homework detentions your child may receive.
Next steps:
Log on to ClassCharts when you receive your unique access code. To get started, please follow these steps:
1. Download the Parent App: The ClassCharts app is available for both iOS and Android devices.
2. Create an Account: You will have received a unique access code via email. Use this code to create your account.
3. Explore the Features: Explore the various features and familiarise yourself with the platform.
4. Download the Pupil App: Encourage your child to download the pupil app ready for them to receive their codes on Wednesday.
Menus

Clubs and Late Bus
Breakfast & Homework Clubs will be available from the week beginning 9 September 2024, as follows:
Breakfast club: 7.30 – 8.00 am daily – a space to complete homework before school.
Homework club: Mon 2.05 – 4.00 pm, Tues to Thurs 3.00 – 4.30 pm (late bus will be running)
This is a quiet space to complete homework with non-specialist help on hand. Anyone not completing work will be asked to leave.
A full list of all extra-curricular activities and after-college clubs will be available next week. Please note that the free late bus service is not running this week but will re-commence from Tuesday 10 September 2024.
Hampshire County Youth Choirs
Are you aged between 11 and 18 and looking to join a Choir in September 2024? Do you know someone who might like to join? Hampshire County Youth Choirs are holding an open rehearsal on Friday 13 September 2024. We invite you to join them and experience a rehearsal. Year 7
On Thursday 5 September 2024, parents/carers of Year 7 pupils are invited to a 'Meet the Tutor' event from 4.00 – 5.30 pm at Swanmore College. Information will be shared on the college, our data systems, and core subjects. There is also the opportunity to meet your child’s tutor, find out about our pastoral curriculum and ask any questions you may have. Representatives will also be present from the SEND and Pupil Premium departments.
The timetable for the evening is as follows:
Parents of children with surnames A – K
4.00 pm - 4.30 pm - Information meeting in the Main Hall.
4.30 pm - 5.00 pm - Information meeting in tutor bases with tutor & Opportunity for Q&A.
Parents of children with surnames L - Z
4.00 pm – 4.30 pm - Information meeting in tutor bases with tutor & Opportunity for Q&A.
4.30 pm – 5.00 pm - Information meeting in the Main Hall.
Year 8
There are no specific items for Year 8 only.
Year 9
There are no specific items for Year 9 only.
Year 10
There are no specific items for Year 10 only.
Year 11
This year’s first virtual Parents’ Evening for Year 11 will take place on Thursday 12 September 2024 between 4.30pm and 7.30pm. The booking system is now open, so please book your appointments via: swanmorecollege.schoolcloud.co.uk. Your child’s report with the outcomes from the summer mock examinations will be issued on Monday 9 September 2024 via the SIMS app.
