Our Word of the Week is ‘Collaborate’.

verb:

1. work jointly on an activity or project: "he collaborated with him on numerous hotel projects"

2. cooperate traitorously with an enemy: "during the last war they collaborated with the Nazis"

Pupils will be encouraged to use this word around school and in their lessons throughout this week. Do encourage them to use it at home with you too!

KS3 Fitness Suite Club Cancelled

Please note that there is no KS3 fitness suite club on Thursday 14 November 2024 as this is cancelled. Pupils have been advised.

We’ve been asked to share information about the NHS services available for parents and carers to ensure your children have access to the right service at the right time.

Pharmacy First: If you need help with a minor illness or an urgent medical supply, please visit your local community pharmacy. The Pharmacy First service was launched in January 2024 and enables community pharmacies to provide treatment for common medical conditions. How pharmacies can help - NHS

Healthier Together: This app can be used as a great source of information to help you keep your child(ren) safe and healthy. You can also use it to help you decide what to do when your child(ren) are unwell. Home :: Healthier Together

CAMHS Free Health and Wellbeing Event

Please see attached details of the next PACE event from Hampshire CAMHS, which is taking place in the New Forest on Thursday 21 November 2024. This is a free event for parents/carers who support young people with their mental health and emotional wellbeing. You can book a place here: Events – CAMHS

Pop-Up Orchestra from Hampshire Music Service

Following the success of their Pop-Up Orchestra events earlier this year, HMS have arranged another one in Andover on Sunday 15 December 2024. This event is for all instruments and all levels from beginner to Grade 4 and players do not need to be receiving lessons from Hampshire Music Service to attend. Please see the attached flyer for further information.

Year 10 & 11 – Educake Competition

Educake is hosting a contest where 5 lucky students will receive a £50 One4all gift card. All they must do is log into Educake each week between now and the end of term and complete a quiz using the Revision Wizard. Educake is an excellent revision tool for Science and English.
