Shoebox Appeal

Thank you to everyone who has donated gifts and items for the Wessex Rotary shoebox appeal. The closing date for donations is tomorrow, Friday 11 October 2024. We are also in need of £1 coins to attach to each shoebox to cover the cost of transportation and administration. If anyone would be willing to donate some money for this, please ask your child to drop this into pupil reception tomorrow, or parents/carers can drop any money to visitor reception to help us with this worthy cause.

Please remember to regularly check your spam/junk email folders for messages from Swanmore College. Due to the systems that we use, some of our communications are sent from external domains (e.g. swanmore@scopay.com), so messages may get filtered into your spam/junk folder. This is particularly important if you’ve emailed us about something and are waiting for a response.

Fully Funded School Support Courses

Please see attached information from Study Smart UK regarding their fully funded online school support courses. If you are looking for a career in education, they offer free training for support staff roles. The next course start date is 21 October 2024. KS4 Information Evening - Thursday 24 October

Reminder that parents/carers of Year 10 & 11 pupils are invited to an Information Evening on 24 October 2024 in the main hall at Swanmore College as follows:

Year 10 families: 5.00pm – 5.45pm

Year 11 families: 6.15pm – 7.00pm

The key aim of this short information packed session is to introduce you to the revision package that will be launched to support your child's upcoming mocks. The content varies for Year 10 and Year 11 families, so please do ensure you sign up to the session that is relevant to your child. You are very welcome to bring your child along to this event. 

• Year 10 pupils have mock exams in November 2024.

Revision Package launch will be the week of 14 October to start a '4-week countdown' to the mocks.

• Year 11 pupils have mock exams in January 2025.

Revision Package launch will be the week of 7 October to start a '10 week countdown' to the mocks.

Work Experience: 14 - 22 July 2025

We can confirm that Year 10 work experience will be taking place from 14 – 22 July 2025. Further details regarding the work experience will be shared in the coming months.

Year 11

Sparsholt College Open day

Registrations are now open for Sparsholt College’s next open event on Saturday 9 November 2024. To attend, pupils will need to register for the event, and book tours of the subject areas that they wish to see as soon as possible by visiting Experience Sparsholt - Sparsholt College Hampshire. Timings for the event depend on the tour/tours that the pupil has booked.
